Important Information Regarding Carpool and Traffic Detours
Subject: HEADS UP! Street Closure and Special Effect Notification for K’Ville

The 20th Century FOX television series K-Ville will be filming scenes for their locally based television series Monday October 1st and Tuesday October 2nd on the riverside of the 2600 block of St. Charles Avenue.

*Street Closure* The RIVERSIDE of St. Charles Avenue will be closed between Second Street and Washington Avenue. N.O.P.D. will be detouring downtown bound traffic at Washington Ave to Prytania Street. This closure will be in effect:
Monday October 1st from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Tuesday October 2nd from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Special Effects: There will be a brief period of SIMULATED GUNFIRE in the 2600 block of St. Charles Ave. Monday October 1st between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. This will be a series of gun shots.
There will be a SIMULATED EXPLOSION in the 2600 block of St. Charles Ave. Tuesday October 2ndbetween the hours of 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. This controlled effect has been permitted via the New Orleans Fire Department Fire Prevention Division and the City’s office of Film and Video. It should last for less than 1 minute and will not bring damage to any property.

My first thought was, “Well! How lovely that the violence is simulated for once! Nice of them to let us know!”

My second thought was, “What a pain in the ass- like St. Charles isn’t enough of a mess these days. This is gonna mess up carpool fer sure.”
