Life in the Land of Dreamy Dreams

I’ll tackle the title’s subjects in reverse order, all of which will explain why I’ve been a very bad blogger of late.

I’ve been spending a bunch of time doing random stuff all over the place, not least of which is assessing the damage of the winter. We had several cold cold cold days in a row, complete with hard freezes. I knew there’d been garden casualties, but wasn’t sure how bad the body count was.By far, the worst damage was to the passion flower population.

Also feeling the winter’s wrath were several hibiscus, our biggest brug, all the bananas (though they pup like crazy and should come back pretty fast), and two potted roses, including my favorite, Double Delight. That’s the second DD that’s been killed in my Darwinian garden. I think I’ll replace it, but three strikes and you’re out.

Anyway, I’m done with the mourning and ready to shop and replace. It took 3 years to get that entire fence covered, but at least this’ll give me a chance to shake it up a bit.

This is a short one to explain, but has taken a long time to do. I’ve been playing with a new slideshow tool, since I really can’t stand the picasa one. It compresses everything and although it’s really easy to plug in, what’s the point if the stuff still isn’t visible?After much research and work, I’ve got the bones going and will get it all set up soonest.  So that’s coming along.

I am now -officially- a smut-peddler.Charlie keeps being pedantic and telling me I am NOT a smut-peddler because smut has to be written, not inserted, smeared or otherwise applied physically to one’s body. But I get to choose my title, and I’ve decided I like smut-peddler. So much more interesting than ‘adult novelty peddler’ or some such.

If I’m going to do this, I think I should get to decide what I’m called. So there.

It turned out that in doing research for my new client I had to set up wholesale accounts with a variety of vendors. And in researching ”theme packages” for the client, I discovered that there aren’t many of that sort of thing out there. So I figured, what the hell. I’m already in it ass-deep (so to speak), why not just dive in?

So now I’ve got a new online venture: ThatVixen.com . Isn’t that a great name?! It took forever to come up with name that was fun, but not frilly, and not overtly obscene. So the basics are in, with lots more to come (you know what I mean, dammit).  It’s definately campy- see the logo below- you do have to wonder if she has a stiletto in that hidden hand, but a little danger never hurt anyone…much.
